15-18 May 2012 Sycamore Lodge (Jackson Springs, NC)

This is a Travel Resorts of America Park. Sycamore Lodge is a very nice park. Lots of stuff on site to do. You could easily spend two weeks here. The sites are very spacious, well maintained and include a picnic table and fire ring. The owners have spent lots of time designing the landscape, and its very well kept. The park has a lake and two large water features including a mill pond. Other amenities include a beach volleyball court, shuffle board, horseshoes, pool, tether ball, half court basketball, game room and a well stocked general store. The downside.......... its way out in the middle of no where. The closest store we found was about 10 miles away. At the time of our visit they had very limited sewer hook ups, but there was a honey wagon available on site that came by daily. They seem to have all of the sites plumbed for sewers, however there was an issue with connecting to the pump station or something. The folks I spoke with said the sewer issue was being addressed and should be fixed in the up coming months. The staff, many who were work campers were very nice and helpful. My only regret with Sycamore Lodge is I wish I could have spent more time there.
