We made it to the
Detroit area on Sunday. We set up camp
in New Hudson, and set out to the Spencer’s. John and Leona Spencer are my best
friend John’s parents, and my unofficial adopted parents. I spent a lot of time
at their home when I was growing up. John and Leona had three boys. (John, Jeff and Joe) I was able to spend some time with Jeff and
Joe, and their wonderful families. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see my friend
John on this leg of the trip due to a death in his wife’s family. We hope to
visit with them on the return trip through Michigan.
We plan on
leaving here in the morning, and heading up north. I have an aunt that lives in the Gaylord
area, and we look forward to spending a couple days with them.
